President's Welcome Message

Dear Fellow Beach High Alumni,

As I take on the presidency of the Alumni Association this year, I do it with pride for our shared history and alma mater, and with a commitment to creating a homebase to connect, honor and celebrate our almost 100 years of alumni family.

The Alumni Association brings us together to network, support, and mentor each other, support scholarships for future students and honor the superior achievements of past alumni through our Hall of Fame.

We have a lot in the works including an all-alumni class happy hour, membership drive, Hall of Fame nominations, scholarship fundraising and more.

On this website, you can find out about reunions, events, and classmate news. You can also research interesting Beach High facts and alumni, give back through scholarships and other means. Check out the maps page to see where our fellow classmates are throughout the world.

This year, we want to grow. I would like to hear from you and what you would like from your Alumni Association.

My sincere thanks to our VP of Public Relations: David Guthrie (Retired Beach High teacher), who took this project from inception to completion in the most amazing and productive way.

Our Association was founded in 1998, and for 25 years we have been raising funds for scholarships for worthy college bound seniors. We've successfully raised well over $500,000 to help nearly 400 students begin their college life! We are so proud of our Beach High students and want to reward more scholarships.

This website will help us to reach more alumni and interested parties who wish to join the MBSHS Alumni Association and make scholarships available for more of our exceptional seniors.

Please get acquainted with the website. Share the domain with your classmates and Beach High friends. And please feel generous and help to make a difference in a student's life. If you wish to donate a student scholarship, that would be $1,250. If you wish to make a donation to help fund an established scholarship, you may do so on any of our scholarship pages.

If you wish to buy a brick which would be engraved with a special message for you, your family member, or student, please go to the "Pathway to Success" page.

If you wish to nominate someone for the Hall of Fame, please go to the Hall of Fame page to secure an application and return to Hall of Fame Chair, Cindy Lieber ’83.

Please become a paying member of the Miami Beach Senior High School Alumni Association! (Membership Chair: Stacy Spector Hipsman ’81.) The price is $100 for a three-year membership, $500 for a lifetime membership, and $750 for both you and your spouse if also a graduate. You may join on the membership page.

Again, it is my honor and pleasure to serve as President and I welcome any and all volunteers to serve on a committee and on the working board. I Salute and Thank our Current Executive Board Members, General Board Members, Emeritus Board Members, and all the wonderful Former Presidents. Their names can be found on the Board of Directors page in the welcome menu. We could not have accomplished all we have without your Love & Commitment to our Goals for our Alma Mater & Students at Miami Beach Senior High School!
